voted? Do it!

After I finished reading “A Thousand Splendid Suns” for March’s book club (whoo hoo, I am a month ahead)last night, I made every effort to exercise my freedom as a woman. This book is about Afghanistan and the gradual power of the Taliban. It was a heartbreaking tale, but eye opening enough to not “bury your head in the sand”. I love books like this- the kind that keeps your mind wandering and your heart touched.

I can’t wait to watch the election results tonight. Fingers crossed…

Carol - I just got home from voting! I am always excited as I shut the curtain and open the folder to look at the ballot. It’s truly one of the great freedoms we have! I can’t wait to see what happens, too! Now I’m off to get orange juice for my 4 year old who has a fever (which is why I was able to vote at 3:00 in the afternoon)…

I thought it was very good as well, and it stuck with me.

We caucus on Saturday, but I enjoy politics so will probably watch some of the returns tonight. I have to clean my house frantically because our house is being blessed on Thursday…

Oh, and I have your book, email me with what I should do.

Nice blogs, Carol! I’m enjoying them and hope you’re recovered from getting your tooth out. Love all that sewing stuff! I wish we could have a sewing day together, and just crank out some cute dresses! Will we see you this summer?
