Merry day!

Hurrah, I got my Christmas wish…a photo with me and my kids. I do not have nearly enough of such shots and I am glad it occurred to me yesterday afternoon. I encourage everyone to do this SOMETIME during the holiday- do it!

Yes, my son is being quite odd. I figure that we are now entering an age of really bad photos of him- mostly goofing off and not really showing his sweet face and great freckles. AND, Penny is becoming her own willful little girl…but Ellie and I behaved!

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and continue to feel blessings and peace.

As the mother of a 7 year old and a 3 year old, I SO understand what you said about the kids not always “cooperating” with the pictures. I was looking through your archives and saw a trip you took to Chicago with your kids and I know exactly how you felt when you looked frustrated with your youngest! People have always told me that your kids act their worst/oddest when they’re around you because they feel most comfortable with YOU (a compliment, but I’m not sure I take that as a compliment!!!) It’s a very sweet picture, though! And your ’shroom ornament was adorable! Thanks for the link!!!

Your picture looks so cute!

heehee! Out of the 20+ pics I took of my “birthday boys”, I have about three pictures that made it into my photo album on facebook.com.

Hi- Cute picture. I’m still waiting to get one of me with my 4 kids. It is nice to see the face behind the words and projects you post. I love your dollhouse and the cute little peg dolls.

Hi Carol,

Cute picture. It’s been I don’t know how long since I’ve had a “normal” picture of my second born. I can’t even send out his school pictures this year. One of the many joys of being the mother of boys!

Great picture! Yeah, boys are squirrelly, that’s for sure! But it will make for some pretty fun times looking at pictures later. Then they will be the ones rolling their eyes at how they looked! :-)

Hi Carol! Christ is Born!
That is such a great picture. You and your children are lovelyl!
I don’t think I have a single picture of me with both kids since Pearl was born. Thanks for the inspiration to do something about that!
I had to bribe Johnny with a candy cane to get the Christmas pic of the kids I posted on my blog. I think he earned it, though.
Take care.

Sweet picture! I have so few photos of my daughter and me because it seems I am the one always behind the camera. :)

Yes, I’m usually BEHIND the camera and so don’t often get into the shot with the children. But important to do so regularly — and you did it with such sweet results. :-)

It’s so amazing to think about when we were all at Biola. now were surrounded by all these cute little kids. It’s nice to see you surrounded by your great cloud of witnesses. :)

So. . .Carol did you know I learned to knit, after I built our house, and I’m borrowing a sewing machine. So I’m going to need advice on how to learn to sew. you know sometimes I sit back and look at my self and think . . . I’m a very different kind a guy. he he.

we love you guys. Oh, I pained clothespin people for elea’s birthday tea party I’ll have to post some to you. Blessings
