I’ve been lurking on your blog for a while now, but had to come out and tell you how great your gifts look! My girls are 3 1/2 and 2, and we also do primarily handmade things (however, mine are not nearly as clever as your superhero…!) The sleeping bag idea is fantastic. I think DD1’s babydoll will be getting one for Christmas.

By the way, your daughter’s blog is adorable.

As the mom of a 19-month old (and desperately trying to figure out how to “do” Christmas) how do you get started incorporating gratefulness for “small things” in your children? I’m afraid I’m not very good at this myself… I guess it starts with me, eh? I love your homemade gifts!

This year all Autumn asked for were books, rubber stamps, and a sink to match her hand-me-down play oven. I think it’s great to raise our children to appreciate the small, simple things. Those sleeping bags are a great idea and I think I might make one for my little one’s favorite teddy bear.
