gift giving

It was my niece’s first birthday last week and we all celebrated her big day on Sunday.

Besides giving her a sihlouette, which was really for her folks, I made her this fun little tote filled with blocks and dolls.

I remember those days of carrying little toys around to occupy a busy one year old. Now Tizzy has her own bag that will eventually become a library tote or something she just hauls around! I added a few pockets to the outside to add some interest…

I really like how it all turned out- love when that happens…

So adorable! I can’t believe she’s a year old already! Many Years!

And, on a side note, after an embarassingly long time, I’m reading “Sky Burial” – it’s really good. Who was I supposed to send it to when I was done?

The pockets on the outside are perfect. I’m just getting around to making a little bag for my daughter and she’s turning 2! I’ve been following your blog for a while and it is just lovely.

I’ve been wanting to make some painted blocks for my son. What type of paint did you decorate the blocks with? Thanks!

These are so cute, I love them. What little girl would not want to carry one of these around full of important “stuff”!!
