one!

Can’t believe it, my sweet niece is almost one! I made this portrait for her…but really for her parents too. In my mind, the 1st year with a child is cause for celebration. So much adjusting, bonding, and love.

I have a few things up my sleeve. Hopefully I will get to them in time. I have been experiencing some pretty intense pain in my jaw, cheeks, and head. Maybe TMJ? Sinuses? No one knows. All I know is that I have a new sympathy for people with chronic pain…I will look forward to the day that my head stops reminding me that I hurt. Bleck.

Carol, this is so sweet and special!
I’m sorry about your facial pain– please try to find someone who does cranio-sacral therapy, and have a session. Or you can come visit me, and I’ll do as many sessions as you need! But I’m serious, it will probably help you.

I’m having the exact same pains. Maybe it’s the change of seasons/ air humidity affecting our sinuses?
That’s my self-diagnosis, at least!
:D
The portrait is beautiful!

carol–I’m sorry to hear that you are in so much pain. I hope you are able to figure out what is causing it. God bless you in that journey. It seems there is always something to be learned with pain. I would like to tell you again that I always look at your blog to get inspired. Thank you!!

Hi Carol,
Your blog is at the top of my list… I always enjoy it but don’t often comment. So, picture me reading your blogs! And I hope you’re feeling better very soon!

If it’s sinusitis I feel your pain. I get a bad bout of that a few times a year–and always following a cold–and it’s brutal. Hope you feel better soon.

That portrait is a gift that will be treasured! I think you’re right–the first birthday really is a celebration of the parents’ first year as much as the child’s.
