Last week, when I was planning for the week’s groceries, the air was cool and crisp. So obviously I was all charged to make soups and roasted sorts of delicacies…well, it is 85 here and I am NOT turning on the air!

I have to say, this soup made a wonderful lunch regardless of the heat…and a cool photo.

I did the same thing–spicy black bean soup! I did turn the air on though.

LOL. I did the exact same thing. Only I made White Bean and Turkey soup. It was good, but I had turned off my air and the temp in my house was close to 85. Hot a sweaty…and eating soup.

I spent last week digging out (unpacking) warm clothes for the kids and realizing that all the legs and arms of those clothes somehow shrunk in the last six months ;-) So I had to run around to the thrift stores trying to find clothes for them, thinking all the time, “I don’t have time for this. I am still trying to move in and get things functioning in a new house!” I also dug out the crock pot and started using it again. And noticed that I was craving carbohydrates. I guess it’s natures signal that it is time to put on some body fat for the winter! But yesterday was hot, and my car broke down, and all I wanted to eat was a salad, which was not on my shopping list for the week. Oh, well. Beautiful photo, by the way. I always love when I find mundane things that are so visually interesting.
