I told them we went to school...then played outside with our friends! No organized sports, "play dates", etc. Yes, we had piano lessons one day a week and survived not being overscheduled and entertained 24/7. We actually entertained ourselved. Mine started school this morning too and I do the same picture. I have a 2nd grader, kindergartener, and a preschooler (preschool doesn't start for 2 more weeks.) They do scouts and one sport--fall is soccer. I hate running around all the time and don't know how people do it. (A lot of fast food, I think, yuck.) So cute! I have have taken dance a year or two, and I do remember being a brownie, but that's it. Your kids are so adorable! I loved your idea of taking pictures of the kids on the first day of school. I did that with my son. It will be nice to remember that he was going through a phase of covering his face up and making funny faces at the camera. Thanks for the idea. I, too, played the violin - no broken wrists! :0) and was also in Girl Scouts through 6th grade. I think I played soccer, too. But I do not remember feeling too busy.
