stitching and stenciling

Filed under: Sewing, made gifts — admin at 9:13 am on Thursday, June 14, 2007

The other day was my sister’s birthday. I knew I wanted to make her something and I KNEW it had to be something similar to this… I thought I would bring out the freezer paper and intermingle a simple geometric shape with some stitching and applique (freezer paper, again!).

As with every project, I always wished I had a bit more time- but I do like it! She did too. Yes!

Oh that’s gorgeous. And you’ve reminded me about the appliqué tree skirt I mean to make each Christmas and never get around to. Perhaps if I start now…

Very nice work Carol! And I see your wedding anniversary is approaching. As you say in Italian, “Auguri!” (You are practicing some Italian for the trip, aren’t you?)

Once again, I’m envious of the things you create! Are we really related? Why did the creative gene skip me?
