views from the garden

Whew- I am officially finished with planting my garden. I am really pleased with everything and find it so exciting to anticipate seedlings (I know I am a bit late) and plants to grow lush. My little corner is thriving and my husband’s hops plants are gorgeous (shot of the door). He also planted a bunch of barley in our backyard plot- all for his brewing hobby!

It’s all looking well on its way to being very lush, big and beautiful indeed! That hops is amazing - so prolific. Ah…. I am really loving all these gardening posts popping up everywhere. Lovely to see.

i think my husband would enjoy and evening with yours–he’s always wanted to try brewing his own beer, but has never done it, yet…His father used to make his own wine, which he loved too.

your garden looks wonderful and rich. i’m jealous of your wonderful raised beds. so much more manageable than my garden that gets overtaken by grass!

Oh is that lavender I see? I’ve been trying to grow it from seeds with no luck. Think I’ll have to give in and buy actual plants to put in the ground.
