I love looking back at school photos, and yes, I too, can name all the kids.
We always wore a school uniform though, so not such a great chance to look back at the fashions.
I can’t say I like the idea of the floating heads!

Oh I love it!! What you don’t find [very easily] these days, in addition to the traditional class photo, are classes that size. WOW! 14 KIDS?! Classes are double… almost triple the size now-a-days.

i’m so sad to hear no more class photos! I was going to guess you were the girl in pigtails?
I’m like you, I can still remember a lot about my elementary school days…but fifth grade memories seem to stick out more than any other–must have been an important year for me! go figure.

I do love the artistic placement of everyone in the photo- very symetrical. I can hear the photographer saying ” OK hands to the side except those in the front row – fold your hands.” Where are those pictures? I do not have any of my old ones. Maybe I need to raid mom’s closet.

What’s interesting is I had the rows of all of our school photos on a sheet; and my kids have class pictures like you posted.

I prefer those to the ones I had.

Lily came home with her class picture, which was an actual class picutre. I haven’t seen the floating head variety.
