I was wondering if you might be willing to help me. My nephew, who has two sisters from China (they are there RIGHT NOW picking up the newest addition to their family), will be traveling to China this summer to work in the orphanages. I love what you along with the help of so many did for these sweet children in China and also wanted give my support. I contacted the organization that my nephew is going with, Hope's Heart, and they said they could use 200 (YIKES) Linus blankets. They wanted them small 12"X12". Something silky and comforting for these darling children to run their cheek and fingers along.

I really don't know the best way to organize this. I can mention it on my blog but wanted to know if you might be willing to mention it also and lend me support and advice. I don't think I have the blog audience to receive much support. My local church sewing group and my SIL's mother are both willing to sew. I would really appreciate any ideas you have!!

Thanks you!

Carol:

We are so thankful for our daughters, and their concern for others. We had a wonderful experience in going to China. The gifts were so well received. Again, we thank your blog friends for contributing. Let's figure out a way for all of us to make the trip. It will be life changing.

We are adopting a baby girl from China and I'm so touched by your wonderful mission to bring a smile to those little orphans. I loved your pictures! I'm thinking I'll do something like that when we make our trip. You and your sister are an inspiration. Many blessings to you and your family.
I absolutely loved the painted wooden dolls (the 3" ones from Kristina in Denmark). I've searched all over trying to find that particular shape. Do you know where those can be purchased or maybe could I get her email to ask her? Thank you again. I enjoy your blog.

I looked at these photos again & again crying every time for these beautiful souls. So happy you arranged & organized this project Carol! I know it is not about YOU, but it wouldn't have happened without you. Often we want to be involved and help others, but don't know how to start. I have enjoyed watching your packages of goodies come in the mail & have been overwhelmed by the talents & generosity of "strangers" We are all in this together!

Amazing photos! Thank you so much for sharing them. I wish I had found your blog a little sooner to have participated. What a good thing you did, bringing joy to those children. You and your sister are incredible!

Wow how amazing! Your sister is awesome. I want to go so bad and hug and love all these children. In all my travels to Russia with my family growing up i visited and orphange and wanted to return the next year to spend 2 weeks but i could not do it because i knew i would want to bring all the children home and be an emotional mess. I am so glad their are people like your sister!
I hope i can be strong enough to go back to the orphange in Russia someday!
I think that is awesome that your family will be spending yur money for the children in China. What a great experience and lesson for your children. I will for sure do this when Noah and Silas are old enough to understand!
Thanks for sharing!
