come on Spring, we are ready!

Friday, March 2nd, 2007

I completed one dress yesterday and I am so thrilled with this “vintage” pattern I have…I used thrifted fabric my sister-in-law gave me for a quilt I am making. Uh- I just used a little for this dress, Bethany, I promise!

Isn’t the red stunning?!

My 8.5 year old also recommended the dress for her 3 year old sister could be a shirt for her as well! Wow- she has a good eye and the dress looked really cute on her.

So- this pattern will be used for both girls. Perfect.

I hope to get more accomplished this weekend- yea, I love sewing clothes for my girls.

March!

Thursday, March 1st, 2007

I’m celebrating March, (the unofficial start to Spring in my head, but I should know better since I live in the Chicago area) by sewing a few dresses and shirts for my girls. I love Thursdays and Fridays because my days aren’t broken up with picking up Simon before lunch- he goes to school all day today and tomorrow. These days I feel like I can accomplish a lot OR nothing at all and take it easy with Penelope.

The weather is absolutely dreadful here- rain and all the snow and ice is melting which makes everything all mucky. Oh, and this sort of weather with its’ cold temperature and then rising temperatures makes my head just ache.

So- today I will sew and do nothing else. Laundry can wait. Other “to-dos” can too.

Hopefully tomorrow will be decent to photograph my end products.

Here’s to future sunshine, green grass, and seeds growing in the earth!
