March!

Filed under: around the house — admin at 11:59 am on Thursday, March 1, 2007

I’m celebrating March, (the unofficial start to Spring in my head, but I should know better since I live in the Chicago area) by sewing a few dresses and shirts for my girls. I love Thursdays and Fridays because my days aren’t broken up with picking up Simon before lunch- he goes to school all day today and tomorrow. These days I feel like I can accomplish a lot OR nothing at all and take it easy with Penelope.

The weather is absolutely dreadful here- rain and all the snow and ice is melting which makes everything all mucky. Oh, and this sort of weather with its’ cold temperature and then rising temperatures makes my head just ache.

So- today I will sew and do nothing else. Laundry can wait. Other “to-dos” can too.

Hopefully tomorrow will be decent to photograph my end products.

Here’s to future sunshine, green grass, and seeds growing in the earth!

I’m in Chicago too and yuck. All I want to do is curl up with a blanket and a movie. Good luck on the sewing, can’t wait to see the finished product.

I hear you, Carol! There is no season I look forward to more than spring now that I’m in cold weather land. To me, the most redeeming thing about winter is that it prepares nature to burst into bloom again in the spring!

My mom borrowed my car today “because there have been too many gray days in a row!” and she had to get out. I had to get out yesterday for the same reason! These days my hope is all wrapped up in looking at what the weather will be like next week and looking at seed catalogs. It won’t be long! Yippee! I can’t wait to see what you sew. Today, I just did paperwork. Yuck! I need to make a day soon where everything else can wait. That sounds good!

That pattern looks like it’s going to be cute.
