I thought I wouldn’t like the exaggertated flared sleeves so I cut my arm pattern and learned the really hard way! After tearing up my shirt 3 times, that is right 3 times I realized that my snipping probably influenced the initial awkward fit. [...]

[...] We shop well together, finding one another great finds and giving up things we don’t need. The above fabric Bethany found and she was SO NICE to give it to me! At first, I was going to give Penelope these measuring cups to play with in her kitchen. But really, will she appreciate them? Later, maybe. Love these birds hanging out…shirt for me is in order. Now only if I can figure out this pattern. Nope, no babies in the future for me, but these sweaters were just to sweet to pass up. Future gifts are in store… [...]

Oh yes I've done the same thing! One thing I did when I was sewing for our girls was I left the side seams open until near the end-after the sleeves were attached to the sholder. So you sew the under arm and sides all at once. It's not so cramped sewing a small arm hole.Instruction sheets dont usually say this.Love reading about your projects.

Well, I know from personal experience that if you go ahead and do the right thing and rip it all out and do it over again, you will not only have a better result, but you will feel better about yourself! Did I mention that I know this from personal experience?! Sigh...

I ran across your blog recently and enjoy stopping in! I have been working on a flannel robe for myself (first clothing project in a very long time) and spent a good chunk of last evening with the seam-ripper. It is a good way to discipline yourself into being more detail oriented. Hope it turns out well!
