glittery chain

In preparation for the MUCH anticipated Christmas tree (we drive through a tree farm EVERYDAY to school, believe me, we are excited), I wanted to create a different sort of chain for our branches.

This project was perfect to do while some in our family were napping and others were playing with a friend…I had this handsome and eager fellow’s assistance. He did a fantastic job! We chatted quite a bit and we were both happy to keep our hands busy and watch our work literally grow before our eyes.

I originally saw the chains at my sister’s store. I loved them immediately and knew I wanted to make a red, silver, and white version! I also love pipe cleaners- what a perfect material for busy hands of any age!

We won’t be getting our tree for a couple weeks and it is my hope that these projects will just draw out the excitement…let’s hope…

Ahh, now I know what to do with that bunch of pipe cleaners that keeps getting scattered all over my house.

When can I borrow Simon? I have a couple trees that could use a little something, something. Carol, have you read our blog lately…… did you see Matt’s ode to Fritty?

What a marvelous idea! My children really like working with pipe cleaners, this is a new project I am sure they would enjoy. We tried paper chains and they weren’t all that interested. This would work up much quicker and satisfy my impatient older daughter. Thanks!
