More pie, please!
When I discovered that our Thanksgiving meal was not to include a pecan pie, I already made plans in my mind to make one on Sunday afternoon. Making the pie on Sunday turned out perfectly because I did not have to choose between the other delectable choices on Thursday AND I have the pie to snack on throughout the week! Perfect!
Our Thanksgiving meal was nice. One thing is for sure- there is always my brother-in-law taking a nap after the big meal and week at work. But what was even more special was seeing Tizzy with him! In the past, it was always one of my babes.
Another thing that always happens after the big feast is a nice walk! It was so nice to see other families strolling about- we had FANTASTIC weather and I can say that a great deal of the Chicagoland area was OUT!
I still worked quite a bit on Friday and Saturday, but wanted to make sure the kids had some holiday fun when I was home. We took advantage of the warm weather and headed out to a local parade. The kids were beside themselves with excitement (and me too!). I loved the marching bands, the man on stilts and of course, the veterans…a perfect evening.
