is your coffee cozy?

I’ve been blogging regularly for about 15 months now. Before then, I would post now and then on our family and especially give Penny updates since she was an infant at the time. I didn’t have a digital camera and I had no clue that there was an inspiring creatvie community out there.

Somehow I stumbled onto a blog and started checking out its’ links. I was astonished to find so many creative people using the internet as their outlet to show work, etc. I love learning from these individuals and many don’t even know I read them daily.

Anyway, this French Press Cozy has been rendered in many ways out in the land of Blog. One person was even kind enough to give me her method of execution. It actually turned out pretty good! I am not one for detail and often have to fix things and make adjustments, but thankfully the results have been swell.

Another blogging friend sent me this patchwork fabric. Isn’t it wonderful? All the little squares were handstitched which made my job ultra easy. I just knew once I receive this piece that it had to be made into an upcoming gift…

So I used the inspiration of the blogging world with the generosity of a blogging friend and look…great results!

Thanks to the corner of the world that truly motivates me to create and live a life that makes me feel content with who I am (although I wish there were more hours in the day dedicated to what I enjoy…of course time with my kids is another enjoyable segment of my day!).

What!? An empty coffee cup and French Press…I better change that! By the way the cup is from my friend and his wife’s studio. Did you see them in Ready Made? They had a product photo in the magazine’s small pull out. Check them out!

that fabric for the coffee cozy is amazing. that is definitely the perfect project for it. my coffee press is naked at the moment. must change that soon!

I did not know you were friends with the dovetail studio people. I LOVE their work and it inspired me to look in to how to get images on to my pottery. i think i could buy one of everything that they make!

that fabric looks so good in its new incarnation! I knew you’d do something wonderful with it ~

Would you mind posting the link of the person who showed how to do it? I’d love to try my hand at one. I think I also saw them out in the “land of blog,” but can’t remember where.

Unless it’s littlebirds, which sadly is devoid of it’s archives currently :(
