making time

With having 3 kids (Ages: 8,5 and 2), it’s important for my husband and I to remind ourselves why we liked one another in the first place! Our attention is constantly sought and our conversations are often interuppted (no matter how much we tell our kids NOT to!).

Anyway, yesteday I suggested we get a couple nice pieces of cheese and hang out while the kids keep themselves busy. It was nice. The beer and wine in the middle of the day made it even more festive.

I think this week I will be sharing just images of my life (not that I don’t do that already!). There may be lots of words or none at all. I just like snapping away when I see that the light is beautiful in our living room or the shape of a bowl.

Often I wonder why I even have a blog and I have come to the conclusion that I love to share images. Whether they are of projects, my kids, or a thrift find. It’s a documentary of my life and if noone would even read this blog- that’s fine too. But I do love hearing from people!

I am so glad you got to do this! Even with no kids, we still have to make a point to spend time together as a couple, not just roommates and coworkers. We have a lot of that kind of time in Oregon and it was SO nice! At 37 years, we are still so happy to be doing life together, and I know you and Nathan will feel the same when you get there!

I love your images, they are beautifully framed and rich with your life. Thanks for sharing them. My husband and I often open a bottle of wine with dinner and revel in the few minutes between when the kids are finished with their meal and bath time. We sit at the table and talk, with only the occasional interuption-and the threat of bath time usually limits those!
