a Linus blanket

Like much of the country, it has been extremely hot and humid! We spent most of the weekend in our pool and then quickly made a bee line to the air-conditioned house. It’s times like these that I am grateful we have the luxury of central air, but I am going a bit crazy feeling all locked up.

Anyway, I decided to get some gift making started and feel pretty good about my progress. This “Linus” blanket is for a friend and I am excited to send it off tomorrow. If her son is like any little boy, I’m sure this blanket will be used in fort making. Until then, I think it’s a perfect size to take in the car, change diapers on, use in a stroller…whatever. I love the colors and the tan blanket fabric is incredibly soft.

I have one more to make and hope I will complete it soon. I don’t know, I bore easily with making the same thing twice. I really don’t know how some people can produce a dozen of a similar item and have them all equally creative and well made. Perhaps this is something I need to overcome, quickly.
