Everything is wonderful! I remember making and carrying out big plans for summer too. It's so fun! The object is to keep everyone from dragging along, but to keep an upbeat sense of energy going! We used to go to the school supply store and get those big tagboard calendars - one for each month of summer. I'd go through and write on all the things we knew we'd be doing - vacation, swim lessons, city art classes, library reading time, vacation bible school, etc., then start filling in other things so that almost every day looked interesting. We'd have "Friday Freak Outs" that might be an outing and picnic or something a little whimsical like a treasure hunt for lunch - nothing too difficult! We also had a rule that they couldn't use the word BORED! One year I had a big soup kettle full of Halloween sized candies (the treat bucket) and I let them get stuff out of it for cleaning their room or other amazing behavior. But when I took them to the dentist in the fall they all had a few cavities, so that unfortunately had to go by the wayside!! But I hope you have a great summer and are able to make lots of good memories!

I really like the top you made. Have you posted the pattern before? I'll have to check your archives. Also. your shelves, in their nice clean state, helped me realize that those are the type of shlves that would solve our lack of storage space in the kitchen. Finally, my husband is a track coach, too (will be taking over as head coach this coming school year), and I can so relate to finally being able to get some stuff done now that he's home. But, then, there's summer track, too. Oh, well. :0)

The blouse is absolutely adorable. I am stuck in a massive crush on the color orange, and I love, love, love it when I see people use it... especially when I see such an adorable color on such an adorable niece! The shelves look wonderful! And reminds me of why I keep shying away from open storage solutions even though the whimsey to remove all the cupboard doors has had to be repressed on numerous occassions. I am also in a late spring cleaning furry so I haven't been posting much! I am too much of a one-tracked person. I am hoping to be done tomorrow so I can get on with life!
