the great outdoors

Crazy? Maybe.

Multi-tasking? You bet! While the air conditioner is pumping through my house (thank you 90 degree weather with lots of humidity!), I hate that I can’t hear my kids playing. It’s no better than the middle of January, if you ask me.

Finished product below for my 11 year old niece. Boy, I love checking things off my list!

Hi Carol,
I loved getting caught up on all your recent blogs. Ahhh, the joys of summer! We used to get tons of books at the library too, and what fun they are! They’re so full of promise! (Paying the inevitable fines is part of the deal.) David and I just went downtown LA last Friday and visited the public library. The Children’s Department is absolutely magnificent! And they have a great selection of books, too! I checked the Maud Hart Lovelace section and saw that they even had “Winona’s Pony Cart,” which is a hard one to find! If Ellie hasn’t tried her Betsy books yet, she just HAS to! She’ll probably love them. Next time you’re out here, you must take a trip to the big downtown library!
Gotta go-

I love it! And I think we may have the same sewing machine! I just bought one online that we will bring back in July! I can hardly wait!

I think I sent the first two Betsy books to Ellie, right? :-)

So that’s how you do it! An amazing way to keep churning out those fabulous creations. I keep thinking I am going to need to come up with some hand sewing for the summer. It never occurred to me to take the machine outside! Problem solved ;-)

i don’t think you’re crazy–I think it’s a small stroke of genius!!

I agree with the hot weather being as bad as the winter cold. both force you to stay inside!

Thanks for the bag !!! I already used it even though it didn’t match my clothes! I really like the bag and I love the fabric you used for the pocket.
Is the bag reversible?
