I am part of the kid’s CD swap that is going on and I am just about done. Tomorrow (fingers crossed) I will mail our little bundle to Seattle to some new music friends. The photo above is the CD case I stitched.

Boy, did I have fun (Oh, the kids too.)! It totally took me back to high school and the mixed tapes I would make for my friends back in Pennsylvania…when my parents ripped me away and moved to Chicago (ha!).

So…to celebrate this new love of CD burning I want to share with 5 others! You will receive 2 cds. One is entitled “fun, fun!” and “mellow fun!”. I tried to have a nice mix of kids music and some adult. I figured it’s always nice to introduce them to other genres and hopefully this will influence their teenage years, right?

Just leave a comment and I will randomnly choose 5 winners on Saturday. Overseas friends are welcome too!

and I honestly think the CDs are geared for kids as young as 1-12…

Carol, that is a very fun idea. Several years I have had false starts trying to put together a CD for the nieces and nephews. Maybe I will start putting it together now. I won’t play, but it gives me ideas…

I’d love to share too, my 11 mo old is a total music nut. When the little jingle starts up on Noggin, he gets all excited. There is so much out there that isn’t necessarily geared to kids but is just as appropriate. How did you get started on the swap thing?

Okay, you know of course that I want one! Been resisting the urge to say so since it feels like cheating being family and everything! So it’s okay if I am disqualified. There is still Christmas, right? ;-) But it is a fabulous idea and so generous of you to give away extras.

Oh my kids just LOVE music that I ended up buying each a $10 personal cd player for them. Count me in! It’s soo cute watching them dance to the music when you can’t hear it and they don’t realize you are watching them. :)
