birthday and more
Now that Lulu has gone home to Ohio to be with her family (sniff), I am busily working on Penelope’s birthday gift. In January I thought I was so ahead of myself with these blocks and I sort of put them off. But now my little babe will be 2 on April 9th and I’ve got to get busy! Here is my work in progress and I really must paint these in the day light. I get so tired in the evening that painting little letters and figures is probably not the best thing for me.
I hope to make a little drawstring knapsack for her to carry her blocks around and all the other treasures she finds around the house. And then I need to make her a birthday crown out of felt and that should be good! Oh- besides her cake of course!
Last week while Penny and my niece Lulu were napping, I was able to make these fun pants for Ellie. They are widelegged and sort of cropped…the best part is they fit her tiny waist perfectly! I plan on making a few pair for her, Simon, and Penny and just need to find the time! (Sorry for wrinkles…)
