Ding Dong…the milk is here!
This morning, I realized that we were to receive our first home delivery of milk and eggs! It was a rainy, dreary beginning to the day, but when I opened our front door and saw our “Oberweiss Dairy” box on the front porch, I was elated!
It was fun to open the cooler and see three glass bottles of milk, 3 dozen eggs, cheese, butter, and 4 small bottles of chocolate milk! It almost felt like Christmas, and if my kids believed in Santa they would have felt like he came to our house early! He/She probably delivered some time in the wee hours of the morn.
So why buy and have it delivered? For the health and well-being of us and our children! This milk is 36-48 hours old, no hormones AND we are supporting a local dairy! Not some corporate guy behind a desk counting numbers…I did a lot of reading on why buying from a local guy and I am so happy with our decision and stance. This particular dairy uses a number of local farmers for milk and the quality is execeptional. I have not enjoyed milk for awhile and this really taste so much better…it is not sweet tasting and it is so white! Try it in your local area and tell me what you think! It may cost a bit more, but for me it is worth cutting back on other food products that are not necessary.
