nothing better than a snickerdoodle…
this week while driving in the late afternoon, i glanced over at penny tess and she was happily enjoying a snickerdoodle someone gave her at my sister shop. she was squealing with sugar coated lips, what could be better? a few minutes passed and her eyes were becoming drowsy, they closed and she was slowly bringing the cookie to her mouth and nibbling! it was so cute and i had wished there was a camera close by…i then heard something drop in her cup holder and she was out (what was left of the perfect cookie was finally let go!). what a life!
another bit of happy news! my sister and her husband will be going to China in July to receive their daughter, Yi Lu! they got their referral and have a photo and all of her information in hand! we are all so thrilled. she was born nov. 22nd and was found abandoned with her umbilical cord still attached. she has beautiful heart shaped lips and tons of hair! i am anxiously awaiting a photo!
i am leading a book discussion on this very topic next month at my book club. The Lost Daughters of China is a book about the abandonment of girls in China…so this will be definitely very close to my heart…
as you can see, i learned how to add a list of books i am reading and a photo…i am learning and still need to add to my book list. i will in a few days…
